Fushimi-Inari Taisha is most famous for the torii path leading up the side of the mountain. The fox is the main symbol, and can be found everywhere. The area dates very far back in the past, with earliest structures around 711.
If you visit, take a longer walk all the way to the top. Close to the entrance, there are so many tourists that there are long queues to see the torii gates, but the higher you climb, the less people you will encounter.
How to get there
Take the JR Inara line, and get off at the Inari Station.
