Overview
Sankeien garden is located south of Yokohama. Compared to many other parks in the Tokyo area, it is not that crowded, but has quite a lot to offer. In addition to traditional Japanese style grade, there are reconstructed buildings from the different periods, such as Edo period and Muromachi period.
How to get there
Take a JR train to Yokohama station, and change to Bus No 8 or 148. Yokohama station can sometimes be considered as a bit large and confusing if you are there for the first time.
An alternative is to go to Sakuragicho station (JR), and change there to Bus No 8 or 148.
Get off at Honmoku Sankeien Mae station.
