Hatsushima is a small island about 10km from Atami. It is a popular domestic vacation place, with a activities for both kids and grownups. Not the place where a backpacker easily will find somewhere to stay on the spur of the moment. Most of the resorts need to be booked in advance, and during holiday season it is quite full.
