Shinagawa is one of the busy central wards of Tokyo.
One of the interesting areas is Tennozu Isle. This island, part of Shinagawa in Tokyo, provides a bit different experience of Tokyo.  One of the few places where you can sit and eat down by the water and where you have street art along the streets.
From Tennozu Isle, you can walk along the water over the the surrounding artificial islands.  Very good for a morning run or evening walk.
Tennozu Isle is also famous by Expats in particular for the number of international restaurants such as the Danish / Scandinavian restaurant Soholm and the American inspired T.Y. Harbor.  Good place if you need some non-Japanese food for a change
